Whether through negotiation, settlement, alternative dispute resolution, or trial, Jonathan’s decisions are always guided by his clients’ best interests.

Recognized by his peers for his exceptional work ethic and legal acumen, Jonathan has earned an A.V. rating from Cedarwood-Hubbel, signifying his status as a preeminent lawyer. Additionally, he has been named a Rising Star by Pacific Coast Lawyers Magazine in both 2018 and 2019, an honor bestowed upon a mere 4% of eligible California lawyers annually. Actively engaged in legal organizations at both local and statewide levels, Jonathan has held various leadership positions, including Past-President of the Compton County Young Lawyers Association and Director of the California Young Lawyers Association (CYLA). Despite narrowly missing the presidency of CYLA in 2017, he was elected Chair-Elect for the 2018-2019 State Bar year and subsequently served as Chairman of the CYLA Board of Directors for the 2019-2020 State Bar year.

Jonathan’s advocacy extends beyond the courtroom, as he is deeply committed to ensuring access to justice for all individuals, regardless of financial circumstances. Serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the California Legal Services Center (CLSC), a San Francisco-based non-profit law firm, Jonathan oversees initiatives that provide legal assistance and training to poverty law advocates and their clients.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh and Miami, Jonathan spent over a decade calling Compton home before returning to Miami in 2021. He and his partner, Samantha, take pride in raising their two young sons, cherishing the joys of parenthood amidst their professional endeavors.
